Microstock Plus alternatives for stock video

Looking for a Microstock Plus alternative for stock video? Here is what Microstock Plus does as of 13 October 2026, read on its own pages, where those pages stop for footage, and the other ways to keyword and upload clips, each checked on its official site.

What Microstock Plus does

Microstock Plus, also written M+, is a web service. Its home page says it can “Upload, attribute, auto submit photo, video, illustrations and vector files on 33 microstock agencies at the same time”, and that it “supports any operating system with a browser”. StockSubmitter, the Windows desktop app, links to it as its “Online version” for macOS and iOS.

As read on 13 October 2026, the home page describes these parts:

  • Upload: files are “delivered to the agencies incredibly fast and all in one go from our servers”, and the page says that speed “does not depend on your current internet connection quality”.
  • Quickmeta: semi-automatic metadata. Neural networks pick “metadata donors” from similar works based on your work’s thumbnail; keywords, titles and descriptions can be translated into English; a batch keeps separate metadata for each agency.
  • Automatic submission: the page says the process is “automated as much as possible” and tracks the approval status of each file at each agency. Agency passwords are stored encrypted on a remote server.
  • M+SYNC: free software that downloads your files and syncs metadata back to your computer.
  • M+ Analytics and M+ Trends: portfolio analytics and trend tools, sold separately.

A separate page covers AI agents. It says ChatGPT, Claude, OpenAI Codex, Cursor and other agents can connect through an M+ MCP server to find files, fix titles, descriptions and keywords, export CSV and upload through the M+ upload service. Sending files onward requires your confirmation, and the page states that “Your agent can never delete your files”.

Agencies and submission groups

Agencies listed on microstock.plus, by the page’s own group headings, as of 13 October 2026
Group heading on the pageAgenciesCount
“33 free submissions per month”Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, 123rf, Depositphotos, Lori, VectorStock, GraphicRiver, Alamy, Pixta, VideoHive, YouTube, Storyblocks, PhotoDune, 500px, Creative Market, MotionElements, Canva, Vecteezy, Instagram, Magnific20
“Unlimited submissions for everyone”iStock ESP, Dreamstime, YayImages, Pond54
“Only uploading”ColourBox, ClipDealer, FeaturePics, MostPhotos, PantherMedia, PressFoto, ScanStockPhoto, StockFresh, Zoonar9
Headings quoted as written. One sentence elsewhere on the page says “more than 35” agencies; the list counts 33.

For a video contributor, the agencies that matter are on that list: Shutterstock, Adobe Stock and Pond5, plus Storyblocks, VideoHive and MotionElements. Pond5 sits in the group with unlimited submissions for everyone.

Microstock Plus pricing

What microstock.plus and its sister sites show about price, as of 13 October 2026
OfferPrice shownCondition or scope
Free unlimited submissions€0Users who never bought a paid subscription and earned less than $50 from microstock agencies, if M+ can collect their earnings balance data
Paid M+ subscriptionNot shown on the home pageNo pricing page linked from it
M+ Trends€5, €10 or €30 a month (Novice, Pro, Guru)Trends and top positions on Adobe Stock; video ranked as its own category
StockSubmitter (desktop)€0 to €62.50 a monthWindows only; its site does not say whether these plans cover M+

If you have earned more than $50 from agencies, the price of Microstock Plus is not on its public pages. Ask before you move a catalog to it, and count your clips per agency per month so you can compare offers like for like.

Microstock Plus and video files

Microstock Plus lists video among its file types and video agencies among its destinations. As read on 13 October 2026, its pages say nothing more specific about footage:

  • no list of accepted video formats (MOV, MP4, ProRes, H.264) and no maximum file size;
  • no analysis of several frames: Quickmeta finds metadata donors from a thumbnail, and the page does not say which frame of a clip becomes that thumbnail;
  • no check described for video specs such as resolution, duration or frame rate before submission.

The upload route also differs from a direct upload. Because files reach the agencies from M+ servers, each clip first travels from your computer to Microstock Plus. The page’s point about connection speed concerns the second leg; the first one runs on your own connection, which counts with large 4K files.

Choosing a bulk uploader for video

Most of these tools were built for photos first. For footage, weigh them on these points, in this order:

  1. How many agencies do you sell on? If you submit to many, a multi-agency submitter such as M+ or StockSubmitter covers ground no keyworder does. If you sell on two or three video agencies, the agency count matters less than what happens to each clip.
  2. Does it read the clip? One frame describes a thumbnail; several frames describe the action. PhotoKeyworder.ai and Stocktag say they analyze several frames.
  3. Which way do the files travel? Through the tool’s servers, as with M+, or from your disk to the agency over FTPS, SFTP or FTP.
  4. Does the output fit each agency? Title length, keyword count and, at Adobe Stock, keyword order differ. The limits are on the upload limits by agency page.

The full picture of sending one clip to several agencies is in uploading to multiple stock agencies, and the automation routes each agency documents are in automating stock footage uploads.

Where RushPilot fits

RushPilot is a desktop app for stock video contributors. It is in private beta, with a waiting list, so it does not replace Microstock Plus this week.

It is narrower than Microstock Plus: video only, three agencies (Shutterstock, Adobe Stock and Pond5), no analytics or trends. Within that scope, it looks at five frames of each clip, writes the title, description and keywords each agency expects (most important first for Adobe Stock), checks common rejection reasons such as resolution, duration, visible logos and upscaling, waits for your approval, then uploads. The video file goes from your disk to the agency, not through a RushPilot server. Launch prices are on the pricing page.
